Post-Slobo Serbia
It is the people of Serbia who have peacefully won over Slobodan Milosevic and not the NATO forces that were relentlessly bombing civilians for three months with the pretense of wanting to punish Milosevic.
With Milosevic out, we need to focus on real issues related to Yugoslavia, which are immediate lifting of sanctions that were hurting only the civilians and not the regime, reparations for the destruction of infrastructure and loss of 2,000 civilian lives, immediate correction of US policy in Kosovo where we have been supportive of the Albanian mafia creating a monoethnic province of Kosovo, safe return of 300,000 Serbian and other non-Albanian refugees to Kosovo, reparations for lives and property lost since the arrival of KFOR forces in Kosovo and massive financial support to Yugoslavia to help ease the economic transition.
With Milosevic gone, we do not have a single excuse not to treat Serbs, Serbia and Yugoslavia with the decency that we owe them.
