Casino Phone Technologies to offer prepaid card mobile gambling

Casino Phone Technologies, a company specialising in mobile gaming technologies, announced the launch of CasinoPhone – a product designed to give mobile phone users access to online games through prepaid gaming cards.

The company said that its m-Gaming Engine – the core of the CasinoPhone service – would enable online gaming support for Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Samsung Java mobile phones, as well as devices operating on Microsoft Smartphones, Pocket PCs, and Windows platforms. The gaming engine is compatible with GPRS, WCDMA, EDGE, Bluetooth and Wifi standards.

With CasinoPhone land-based casinos will be able to offer their adult consumers round-the-clock access to their favourite casino games via the mobile platform of their choice, at the same time enforcing responsible adult mobile gaming practices.

According to company’s director of business development William Donne “all the users have to do is download the games from the Internet to their mobiles, and once they purchase a prepaid gaming card, they are ready to play”.

The Casino Phone Technologies saud their prepaid cards system is regulated by the same security and accounting practices employed by land-based casinos. This approach is supposed to eliminate problem gambling and prevent access to minors.

“There is definitely nothing like it in today’s mobile adult gaming market,” Donne said. “Almost all online casino system vendors are now focusing on delivering mobile gaming to Internet casinos but they lack the controls needed for responsible adult gaming.

“Our technology is strictly focused on legally licensed physical casinos that will benefit from increased loyalty and revenue from their customers and visitors. We are excited to be able to deliver the world’s first prepaid card mobile casino for mass market devices”, Donne said.

According to Juniper Research, by 2008 the volume of the global mobile gambling market is expected to reach $18 billion.

“Our multiplayer platform will also allow players to gamble against each other for bigger stakes”, he said. “A global mobile gaming revolution is taking place and we are proud to be at the forefront of bringing it to physical casinos worldwide”.
